Project III: Pitch

For my project three I intend on creating three genres: a Wix site, a flyer, and a snap chat filter. For the Wix site, I plan on having different tabs with information on how social media can affect one’s self-esteem and other posts with poems and quotes to let the viewer know that they are not alone. I will leave an email so people can send their personal-growth stories so individuals who feel like they are alone and backed into a corner due to their body dissatisfaction, they can feel a sense of relief because they are told that they are not alone. I will make body positive flyers to post in the women’s restroom in Strozier Library for a friendly reminder that the best body they can have is the one they possess. Snapchat is one of the top social networking sites where users will send pictures of themselves or what they are doing to others. With that, I will create a snapchat filter that people can use on their selfies or pictures so a little extra reinforcement of their beauty is presented. I feel as if the three genres will resonate within people in my community because social media plays an inferential role in each of our lives in a threatening way.
